π The Evidence: Faith, Leadership & Perseverance
What a week at Hamilton Christian Academy! π
This week, our students had the opportunity to learn, grow, and be reminded of the importance of perseverance, faith, leadership, and putting God first.
π BETA LEADERSHIP SUMMIT
Our Elementary and Jr. Beta students traveled to Lafayette this past Monday and Tuesday for the BETA Leadership Summit! Our students participated in an exciting scavenger hunt, visited the BETA Shop, attended several leadership sessions, and had the opportunity to meet and connect with students from across Louisiana.
But their Lafayette adventure didnβt stop there! π
Our Beta students also received a guided tour of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette campus, where they got to check out the campus, explore the dorms, and experience a little bit of college life! π
And they even got a VERY cool photo with members of the UL Lafayette basketball team! ππ One of the players even attended Hamilton Christian Academy! How cool is that?! π
π§ͺ And hereβs a fun fact: Did you know there are actual alligators on the UL Lafayette campus grounds?! ππ² Talk about an unforgettable campus tour!
What an incredible opportunity for our students to learn, explore, meet new people, and see some of the possibilities that can be ahead of them!
π§π¦ PRE-K3β3RD GRADE CHAPEL | PUTTING GOD FIRST
Our younger students had a wonderful chapel lesson with Pastor Darell, who taught them about the importance of putting the most important things first. β€οΈ
Using ping-pong balls and corn kernels, Pastor Darell gave our students a hands-on illustration of what happens when we make room for the things that matter most.
The lesson was simple but powerful: when we make room for the good and important things first, there will be room for everything else. But when we put our own things first, we may not leave room for God and the things He wants us to prioritize.
What a great reminder for all of usβnot just our students! π Sometimes we need to stop and ask ourselves, βAm I making room for God first?β
π βBut seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.β β Matthew 6:33
From our youngest learners to our oldest students, this week at HCA was filled with meaningful lessons that remind us to keep going, trust God, lead with purpose, and put Him first.
And as we walk through every season, every challenge, and every chapter, may our lives continue to be the #Evidence of what God can do! πβ¨
π 4THβ8TH GRADE CHAPEL | ADVERSITY
During 4thβ8th grade chapel, Pastor Crew spoke with our students about adversity and why we should never give up.
One of the most important reminders was that no matter who you are, at some point in life, things are going to get hard. We have to learn to keep going, even when things become uncomfortable.
π Hard does not mean impossible. Difficult does not mean done.
Our students were encouraged not to quit in the middle of their journey. Just because things are difficult right now doesnβt mean the story is over. Donβt quit in the middleβitβs not the end of your journey!
Think about a book: if you close the book at the climax, you will never get to the ending. Sometimes we have to keep turning the pages, trusting God through every chapter, even when we donβt understand what comes next.
We may face difficult chapters, but God is still writing the story. Keep going. Keep trusting. Keep believing. ππ
β¨ Hard does not mean impossible. Difficult does not mean done.
π₯ LEARNING THROUGH βALEX, THE DRUMMER BOYβ
This week, Miss Doiseβs class has been reading Alex, The Drummer Boy, a story that explores different communication styles and the unique gifts God has given each of usβeven in the ways we are different. π
As our character learned the importance of signals during wartime, our students got to experience a real-world connection to the story with a special guest presenter, Jordan Sellers! πΆ
Jordan shared about his experience being part of a worship team and the communication, teamwork, and coordination it takes to create music together in a band. Our students learned that just like the soldiers in our story relied on signals to communicate, musicians must also listen, communicate, and work together to create something meaningful.
π₯ Our students even had the opportunity to practice marching with signals, reenacting a small portion of the setting from our story!
It was a fun and engaging way to see how communication and teamwork can make a difference, both in the classroom and in the real world.
A HUGE thank you to Jordan Sellers for sharing his time, talents, and dedication with our students! We are grateful for the opportunity to learn from others and discover how the gifts God has given each of us can be used to serve and encourage others. ππ
Different gifts. Different roles. One team. One purpose. β¨
A special thank you to Miss Doise for creating meaningful learning experiences that bring lessons to life for our students! π
